We are sorry to announce the death of Mrs. Lyda FONES, which occured
very suddenly while she was preparing dinner on sunday last. Mrs.
FONES was a kind neighbor, and devoted mother. She will be greatly
missed by a host of relatives and friends, and by the chruch of which
she was a loyal and faithful member. She is survived by one daughter,
Mrs. Rugh HALL, and two sons, Herbert FONES, and Milford FONES, of
Gibbstown, NJ.; also five sisters Mrs. Kate FONES, Mrs. Evie FONES,
Mrs. T. W. CLARKE, Mrs. R. B. BALDERSON, Mrs. R. D. COATES; also one
brother, Henry SMITH, of Washington, D. C.. Funeral services were held
at Cobham Park Church, near Warsaw, on Tuesday afternoon at 2
o'clock,Rev. G. M. CONNELLY, assisted by Rev. R. T. HAYES and Rev T.
M. L. REAMY conducting the services. The pallbeares were: Active: J.
B. LOWERY, Oren DELANOo, Mervin HALL, Thomas REAMY, Joseph ANGOLIA and
Otis WATERFIELD. Honorary: Garrison Fones, Hillary BALDERSON, Kenneth
FONES, R. E. COATES, Jr., Donald CLARK and Garnett HARRIS.
