BIO:It appears that he never married, he died at the age of 18yrs.
Northern Neck News, Oct. 07, 1927, Obit:
The sad account of the accidental death of Clevland Fones, oldest son
of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Fones, of Templemans. I am informed that while
his younger brother, Hampton, was handling a loaded gun it
accidentally discharged, entering the body of his brother, who lived
only minutes. Our heartfelt sympathy is with the distressed parents
and family. May God comfort them in their time of deep grief.

BIO:The "Northern Neck" Newspaper of Richmond CO. VA. A Young Man from
this county Robbed in Philadelphia. Philadelphia, PA., June 18, 1888
Editor Northern Neck News: Mr. W. B. FONES, a young man of Virginia,
was caught up at an early hour Saturday night, June 16th, while
walking the streets of this city and robbed of his watch and $165.00.
Two policemen appeared on the scene, shortly after, however, and
captured the thieves. The money and watch was at once taken from them
and safely handed to the owner. The robbers were then taken to
Moyamonsing Prison, Where they will be justly punished for the act.
Mr. FONES has been in our employment for months and is well known as a
quiet and sober young man, and is highly respected by all who know
him.
Respectfully,
E. F. Sletzline & CO.
